About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will join our Assurance practice to gain hands-on experience with financial statement audits. You will work alongside our teams to provide independent assessments that help clients maintain regulatory compliance and financial transparency. This role focuses on learning our methodologies and applying accounting standards in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams during the execution of financial statement audits.
- Review and verify financial documents to ensure they meet accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and assist with decision-making insights.
- Document audit processes and findings to maintain accurate records.
- Evaluate internal controls and suggest areas for improvement.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit or completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- A minimum 3.0 overall GPA.
- Progress toward meeting the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time employment.
- Standing as a third-year student in a four-year program or fourth-year student in a five-year program.
