About the role#
As an Audit Intern, you will join our Assurance practice to gain hands-on experience with financial statement audits. You will work alongside audit teams to support client initiatives, observe professional workflows, and develop a foundational understanding of audit methodologies. This is a paid, full-time internship designed for students to build technical skills while contributing to real project goals.
What you'll do#
- Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and learn core auditing methodologies.
- Review and verify financial documents to help maintain transparency and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends and assist with decision-making.
- Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) to your daily tasks.
- Evaluate internal controls and identify specific areas for improvement.
- Document audit processes and findings to ensure records remain organized and consistent.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting.
- An overall GPA of at least 3.0.
- Eligibility to meet the requirements to sit for the CPA exam before starting full-time employment.
- Typical candidates are in their third year of a four-year degree or their fourth year of a five-year program.
