About the role#
The Co-Op Engineer role at our Lexington, South Carolina facility provides hands-on experience within our manufacturing environment. You will work alongside our Process Engineering team to support production activities, continuous improvement projects, and data collection. This is a full-time, paid position that offers exposure to real-world engineering challenges while contributing to our safety, quality, and cost performance goals.
What you'll do#
- Support Process Engineering projects for assigned production areas under the guidance of engineering staff.
- Review production processes to find opportunities for improved efficiency, quality, safety, and cost reduction.
- Collect, organize, and analyze process data regarding equipment performance, downtime, scrap, and productivity trends.
- Assist with troubleshooting efforts for process issues, equipment concerns, and production inefficiencies.
- Support the implementation and validation of process changes, new methods, equipment updates, and revised procedures.
- Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Quality departments to support project tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
- Basic data collection and analysis skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
