About the role#
The Process Intern will manage projects focused on process improvements within a manufacturing environment. This role involves working closely with the Process Engineering Manager to drive efficiency, capacity, and performance improvements. You will maintain a presence on the shop floor to troubleshoot equipment and processes while ensuring all safety standards are met.
What you'll do#
- Manage projects focused on process improvements and establish project plans to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations.
- Demonstrate safety leadership and advance the safety culture.
- Improve the performance, efficiency, and capacity of manufacturing processes.
- Develop training materials, work instructions, and documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Utilize statistical tools and engineering methods to document, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions on the shop floor.
- Develop and run experiments to qualify and validate manufacturing processes.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree or active undergraduate status in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of processes and equipment used in the assigned work area.
- Basic understanding of statistical techniques.
- Good computer skills in MS Office Suite, with a preference for intermediate Excel experience.
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
