About the role#
The Student Extern serves as an adjunct to the patient care team at Providence Medical Center. This is a paid, per diem position that operates on a rolling basis. You will work on-site in Dallas, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Perform clinical tasks based on the nursing school coursework you have already completed.
- Start your role functioning as a nursing assistant.
- Take on expanded clinical skills once you receive clearance from your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must be in your 4th year of a nursing program.
- Maintain good academic standing.
- Hold a current Basic Life Support Certification.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant is preferred but not required.
