About the role#
Profound Medical is looking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Co-op Student to join our Operations team in Mississauga. This role offers hands-on experience within a medical device manufacturing environment. You will work on projects involving ERP data hygiene, material planning, inventory management, and warehouse optimization. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams to improve operational efficiency and supply chain performance.
What you'll do#
- Perform ERP master data cleansing, validation, and maintenance.
- Review and update item master records, lead times, MOQs, and safety stock levels.
- Review Bill of Materials data and support the reconciliation of inventory transactions.
- Develop reports and trackers to monitor data integrity.
- Investigate material shortages and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve availability issues.
- Assist with warehouse layout improvements, bin structures, and labeling.
- Participate in 5S and warehouse organization initiatives.
- Analyze material flow and identify excess or obsolete inventory.
- Collect and report supply chain performance data using analytical tools and dashboards.
- Support process mapping and the documentation of SOPs.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
- Comfort working with large datasets.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Interest in manufacturing operations, material planning, and process improvement.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, MRP, or inventory management is an asset.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, or SQL is an asset.
