Intern, Formulation

About the role#

This is a year-round, part-time internship based in the R&D Formulation department. You will support Research Scientists in developing experimental formulations at both the bench and pilot scale, gaining hands-on experience in microbial biopesticide formulation and analytical techniques.

What you'll do#

• Process formulations using overhead mixing, spray drying, extrusion, and fluidized bed drying.
• Conduct compatibility, stability, and physical properties testing on experimental formulations.
• Plan and execute experimental work for assigned mini projects.
• Document and maintain legible, accurate, and complete laboratory records.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness.

What you'll need#

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail, enthusiasm to learn, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Prior experience with wet lab and analytical equipment is preferred but not required.
