About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in dispatch, customer service, technology, and sales within the trucking industry. You will work directly with fleet managers and operations staff to support daily logistics activities. This is an on-site position based in an office environment.
What you'll do#
- Track the location and status of freight loads.
- Assist customers with scheduling delivery and pick-up appointments.
- Provide information and updates to drivers, dispatchers, and customers throughout the day.
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks to support the full-time operations team.
- Complete ongoing training as directed by management.
- Practice company core values in all daily interactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year college or university as at least a junior.
- A major in Supply Chain Management or a business-related field.
- A commitment of at least two consecutive semesters.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to make logical decisions quickly while multitasking.
- Basic knowledge of the trucking or transportation industry is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Pittston, Pennsylvania.
- Schedule: You must be available for 25 to 30 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
- Shifts: Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours long.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site role. Remote work is not available.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
