About the role#
As an Operations Intern for Summer 2027, you will gain hands-on experience in the transportation and logistics industry. You will work directly with customers to provide services while learning the core principles of transportation management. This role provides exposure to daily operational tasks and helps you understand how a large-scale logistics company functions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with customer transportation and logistics services.
- Participate in daily freight planning and asset utilization.
- Support safety management, DOT compliance, and driver payroll processes.
- Assist with logistics analysis, driver supervision, and maintenance coordination.
- Gain insight into profit-and-loss management and Customer Value Delivery.
- Learn about current industry trends and company initiatives regarding driver retention.
- Complete account-specific duties and other related tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- Ability to work 20-25 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to work varying hours and adapt to changing priorities.
