About the role#
Prime Inc. offers an internship for students to learn about dispatch, customer service, technology, and sales within the truck transportation industry. This is an on-site position based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
What you'll do#
- Support fleet managers and operations staff with daily tasks.
- Track the location and status of loads.
- Help customers coordinate delivery and pick-up appointment times.
- Provide information to drivers, customers, and dispatchers.
- Handle administrative and clerical duties to support the team.
- Complete training as directed by management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a junior or senior in a 4-year college or university.
- A major in Supply Chain Management or a business-related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
- Capacity to multitask and make logical decisions quickly.
- A commitment of at least two consecutive semesters.
- Availability to work 25 to 30 hours per week, including potential 12-hour shifts.
- Basic knowledge of the trucking industry is a plus.
