About the role#
This summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience in the heavy civil construction industry. You will work alongside engineers in the field and the office to gain exposure to site-work, road construction, and environmental projects. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with Tool Box Safety Talks and maintain project safety records.
- Perform daily quantity reviews with the superintendent and job foreman.
- Maintain general correspondence files, shop drawing logs, and subcontractor daily logs.
- Track job codes using the phase code system.
- Assist in developing look-ahead schedules for projects.
- Help purchase job materials to ensure proper quantities are delivered to the site.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering or Construction Management program.
- A genuine interest in heavy construction, including site-work, roads, or environmental projects.
