About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) team. You will support aircraft repair engineering, sustainment strategy, and process development. The role involves working directly with operational aircraft, field-returned hardware, and cross-functional teams to build the repair foundation for electric flight.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of aircraft repair procedures for structural, mechanical, electrical, and battery systems.
- Assist in authoring service procedures and repair documentation.
- Participate in the teardown, inspection, and evaluation of returned components.
- Support root cause investigations and failure analysis efforts.
- Collaborate with the Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Flight Operations teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- A strong interest in aircraft systems and hands-on hardware work.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term.
- The role is based on-site in Palo Alto, California.
