About the role#
Phoenix Systems is looking for an intern to help identify, market, and sell surplus inventory. You will work within our warehouse to move physical products through digital channels. This internship provides exposure to inventory control and online sales operations.
What you'll do#
- Identify, organize, and catalog surplus or at-risk inventory in the warehouse.
- Photograph products for e-commerce listings.
- Write descriptions for online listings.
- Create and manage listings on Facebook Marketplace and other approved platforms.
- Handle customer inquiries, manage negotiations, and coordinate shipping logistics.
- Track and report on inventory movement and sales performance.
- Work with the marketing team to promote surplus items and improve listing visibility.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in high school, a high school diploma, or a GED.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with online marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace or eBay.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical tasks like bending, squatting, and reaching.
