About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Winter 2027. You will work directly with the BuilderGO Product Manager to integrate AI features into our mobile app. We are looking for someone who wants to put AI to practical use and help our teams improve their daily workflows. You will build, test, and explain your work to reach real users.
What you'll do#
- Connect our mobile app to our in-house AI agent platform.
- Build small prototypes and automations to save the team time.
- Test AI tools and prompts, then report on what works and why.
- Run demos and write simple guides to help teammates use AI.
- Meet one-on-one with colleagues to show how AI can improve their work.
- Share tools, tips, and lessons learned with the wider product group.
- Join stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions.
- Document your builds and share progress regularly with stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related co-op program.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Node.js through school, personal, or work projects.
- Interest in AI, including large language models and prompt engineering.
- Ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical people.
- Initiative to work independently and good judgment on when to ask for help.
- Preferred: Experience with APIs, MCP, Jira, or Azure DevOps.
- Preferred: Previous internship or co-op experience.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Angular or mobile app development.
Location & details#
- Location: Markham, Ontario.
- Modality: Hybrid, with 1-2 days per week in the office.
- Term: January to April 2027.
- Salary: CAD$22.50 - CAD$27.50 per hour.
