Proposals Student

About the role#

PCL Construction is seeking a Proposals Student for the Toronto District within the Canadian Buildings Division. This is a paid, full-time position based in Oakville, Ontario, for the Fall 2026 term. You will work alongside a team of Proposal Specialists to support the development of Expressions of Interest (EOI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP).

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with the team on the preparation of submission documents.
• Assist with the RFP review process, including identifying requirements, outlining timelines, and highlighting potential risks.
• Participate in kick-off Strategic Visioning and proposal planning sessions.
• Research key data required for submission documents.
• Translate proposal visions into layouts and graphics, including visual communication strategies and image selection.
• Assemble and review responses to ensure compliance, accuracy, and content integrity.
• Proof, edit, and reword text for clarity and accuracy.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program related to communications, such as Communications, Graphic Design, or Marketing.
• Strong written communication and collaboration skills.
• Competency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign is considered an asset.

• Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Term: Fall 2026 (4 or 8 months starting September 2026).
• Compensation: $19.57 - $28.69 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
