Predictive Analytics & Strategy Student

About the role#

PCL Construction is seeking a Predictive Analytics & Strategy Student for the Toronto District within the Canadian Buildings Division. This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity for the Fall 2026 term, starting in September 2026 for a duration of 4 or 8 months.

What you'll do#

• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from internal and external sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and key drivers.
• Assist in the development, testing, and refinement of predictive models.
• Translate analytical findings into clear insights to inform strategic business decisions.
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and summary materials for non-technical audiences.
• Support scenario analysis and forecasting exercises while collaborating with leadership teams.
• Ensure data integrity and document methodologies, assumptions, and findings.

What you'll need#

• Currently working towards a degree or diploma in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or an analytics-related field.
• Proficiency in analytical programming languages such as Python or R.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Exposure to machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, or clustering.
• Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

• Compensation: The estimated hourly range is $19.57 - $28.69, based on experience and qualifications.
