Marketing Communications Student

About the role#

PCL Construction is seeking a Marketing Communications Student for the Toronto district, based in Oakville, Ontario. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term, beginning in September 2026 for a duration of four months. The role is on-site.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to support integrated plans and campaigns aligned with district priorities.
• Research, write, and edit content, including articles, social media posts, website copy, project profiles, and executive communications.
• Develop clear, concise communications tailored to diverse audiences while maintaining brand standards.
• Support the execution of communications campaigns and community initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external events, conferences, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Manage a weekly internal employee newsletter, including content development, distribution, and performance tracking.
• Track media coverage, campaign performance, and engagement metrics to identify trends.
• Maintain marketing assets and databases within internal systems.
• Support the development of project profiles, resumes, and marketing materials.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with high attention to detail.
• A creative mindset; experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) is considered an asset.
• Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, self-driven work style.

• Compensation: The estimated hourly range is $19.57 - $28.69, based on experience and qualifications.
