Human Resources Student

About the role#

The Human Resources Student position at PCL Construction offers an opportunity to gain experience in a professional construction environment. This full-time, paid internship is based in Richmond, British Columbia, and is intended for the Fall 2026 term. You will work under the direct supervision of the District HRPD Advisor to support various HR functions.

What you'll do#

• Participate in various areas of Human Resources, including recruitment, training, professional development, and health and wellness.
• Assist with the planning and execution of career fairs.
• Coordinate training sessions and facilitate course set-up.
• Support team operations by preparing for daily events, scheduling meetings, maintaining action lists, and handling follow-up tasks.
• Compose and prepare confidential correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
• Manage tasks that require a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma with a major in Human Resources.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all work assignments.
• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities under deadlines.
• Resourceful and independent approach to accomplishing daily tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Location: Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.
• Modality: On-site.
• Term: Fall 2026 (4-12 months starting September 2026).
