    About the role#

    PCL Construction is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Student for a full-time, paid summer internship. This position is based on-site in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for a four-month term beginning August 31, 2026. This role is open to students pursuing degrees in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Human Resources.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in core health, safety, and environment functions.
    • Participate in safety audits and inspections.
    • Support the development of safety documentation.
    • Engage with site personnel to provide safety training.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Human Resources programs.
    • Ability to contribute effectively to team-based projects.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • A willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
    • Ability to work in a construction environment.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
    • Term: Summer 2026 (4 months).
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: 20.25 - 29.65 CAD per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
