About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking an Estimating Student to join the Toronto District within the Canadian Buildings Division. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Fall 2026 term, with options for a 4 or 8-month duration starting in September 2026. This role is based on-site in Oakville, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Utilize PCL estimating manuals, systems, and forms.
- Perform quantity surveys and provide quantities of major purchase items to the purchasing department.
- Manage bid document control and assist with bid day assignments.
- Execute general subtrade solicitation duties and develop relationships with subcontractors.
- Visit job sites periodically to gain field exposure.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
