Engineering Student

About the role#

PCL Construction is seeking an Engineering Student to join the Atlantic Canada District for a full-time, four-month internship starting in September 2026. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to construction projects in a hands-on environment.

What you'll do#

• Conduct trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
• Perform deficiency walks and maintain deficiency logs.
• Issue warranties and coordinate progress photos.
• Update, coordinate, and produce project drawings.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and update project schedules.
• Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work while verifying site conditions.
• Maintain project record keeping and obtain scheduling information from sub-trades.

What you'll need#

• Currently working toward a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency with computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting programs.
• A self-motivated, hands-on approach to work.
• A genuine interest in the construction environment.
• Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.

• Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
• Term: Fall 2026 (4 months, starting September 2026).
• Work Modality: On-site.
