PCL Construction is seeking Engineering Students for the Canadian Industrial Division to work on-site near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to challenging construction projects while gaining professional experience in a supportive environment. The position is available for 4 or 8-month terms starting in September 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and cost control.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate changes with trades staff.
- Review project drawings and submit requests for information.
- Identify and resolve field technical issues.
- Conduct field safety inspections and act as an ambassador for safety campaigns.
- Maintain project record-keeping and perform ad-hoc duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment; prior field experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Bluebeam is an asset.
- A self-motivated, multi-discipline mindset.
- Ability to provide your own CSA-approved steel-toed boots.
- Willingness to complete a pre-access alcohol and drug test.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Terms: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: Shift rotation may be required.
