PCL Construction is seeking an Engineering Student for the Fall 2026 term in our Calgary District. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the Canadian Buildings sector on a full-time basis. Students will work on-site, contributing to project success through a variety of technical and administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate drawings and manage work-specific scopes for trades and sub-trades.
- Conduct trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
- Participate in project meetings and monitor workforce productivity.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and verify site conditions.
- Complete deficiency walks and maintain deficiency logs.
- Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
- Issue warranties and coordinate progress photos.
- Maintain project records and assist with schedule updates, including the use of Primavera P6 EPPM and AutoCAD for graphical scheduling.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Environmental Engineering, or Architecture.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting software.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
