As an Engineering Student with PCL Construction in Edmonton, you will work on building projects while gaining practical experience in construction management. This is a full-time, paid position offering exposure to various construction functions within a supportive team environment. We are seeking students available for work terms beginning in Fall 2026, Winter 2027, Summer 2027, or Fall 2027.
What you'll do#
- Report project deficiencies through regular site visits and maintain deficiency logs.
- Monitor and coordinate trade scopes of work and conduct quote reviews.
- Coordinate and update field drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate with experienced project professionals.
- Perform bid day assignments and manage overall bid document control.
- Assist with on-site problem solving and document project progress through photography.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- A strong desire to work in a construction environment.
- Proficiency in computer software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Access to a clean, reliable vehicle.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup is considered an asset.
