PCL Construction is seeking a Building Systems Student for the Atlantic Canada District in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Fall 2026 term, starting in September for a duration of four months.
What you'll do#
- Update and submit mechanical and electrical shop drawings.
- Review and verify site installations.
- Assist with quality control and track deficiencies.
- Update and input the commissioning schedule and coordinate commissioning activities.
- Assist with Request for Information (RFI) tracking and processing.
- Perform on-site coordination with trades and review progress.
- Support project managers with tasks related to various disciplines and trades.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture.
- A hands-on approach and self-motivation.
- Ability to review shop and construction drawings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for working in a construction environment.
- Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
