About the role#
This position is part of the student employee pool for the Admissions, Assessment, and Financial Aid department. You will provide administrative support to the office and assist with daily operations. This role is paid and requires on-site work.
What you'll do#
- Answer phone calls and greet visitors, providing information or taking messages as needed.
- Manage paper and electronic filing systems, including retrieving and filing records.
- Create documents using Microsoft Office applications and assist with data entry.
- Handle incoming correspondence, distribute mail, and assist with department forms.
- Operate office equipment such as PCs, copiers, and phone systems.
- Assist with special projects, research, and events.
What you'll need#
- You must meet all eligibility requirements for student employment as determined by Financial Aid.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Strong spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of general office procedures and filing systems.
- Ability to learn new computer systems and office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimal supervision.
