    About the role#

    As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join a Research and Development team focused on preventing cyberattacks. You will work on projects within our Strata, Prisma, or Cortex organizations. This role provides hands-on experience and mentorship from industry leaders while you contribute to software that solves real-world problems.

    What you'll do#

    • Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and execute software projects.
    • Write, test, and debug high-quality code.
    • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from initial analysis to deployment.
    • Apply new technologies to solve problems.
    • Engage in applied learning by working alongside security experts.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
    • Must be returning to school after the internship.
    • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and software design.
    • Familiarity with AI coding tools or AI-DLC concepts.
    • Ability to work independently on complex tasks.
    • Interest in the cybersecurity domain.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product managers.
