About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will join a Research and Development team focused on preventing cyberattacks. You will work on projects within our Strata, Prisma, or Cortex organizations. This role provides hands-on experience and mentorship from industry leaders while you contribute to software that solves real-world problems.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and execute software projects.
- Write, test, and debug high-quality code.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from initial analysis to deployment.
- Apply new technologies to solve problems.
- Engage in applied learning by working alongside security experts.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Must be returning to school after the internship.
- Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools or AI-DLC concepts.
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks.
- Interest in the cybersecurity domain.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, researchers, and product managers.
