About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will gain real-world experience building B2B security applications. You will be paired with a senior engineer mentor and a peer intern buddy to help guide your work. You will contribute directly to the next release of the Tanium platform, building features that are delivered to our customers.
What you'll do#
- Join either a frontend or backend team based on project availability and your preferences.
- Work on frameworks and new features used in the real world.
- Meet regularly with your 1-1 mentor.
- Build a unique deliverable to add to your resume.
- Present your work to the engineering team at the end of the term.
- Participate in intern events and network with the wider internship cohort.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
- Experience completing software development projects in backend or frontend languages.
- A drive to learn new technical skills and an interest in how software systems function.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring at least three days per week in the office.
- Office locations are in Durham, North Carolina, and Emeryville, California.
- This position is paid, and interns are eligible for 401k matching and a communications reimbursement allowance.
