About the role#
As a Cloud Security Intern, you will join our Cloud Cybersecurity team to gain hands-on experience in securing business-to-business security applications. You will work alongside a mentor to select and complete a project that improves our security operations. At the end of your internship, you will present your work to our R&D team.
What you'll do#
- Implement security detective and preventive controls for Tanium Cloud.
- Integrate DevOps security tools to provide security context for cloud resources.
- Process security operations data to build or update monitoring dashboards.
- Collaborate with engineers to deliver your project.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors degree program with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Expected graduation date in Spring 2028 or Fall 2027.
- Major in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with peers.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future.
- Prior internship experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Durham, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- Compensation: $55.00 per hour.
- Benefits: Eligible for a housing stipend, 401k matching, and a monthly communications reimbursement.
