About the role#
Prophet Security is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside engineers and experts in product, machine learning, and cybersecurity to build services that process and reason over large volumes of security data. This role involves writing production code, participating in technical design, and taking ownership of a project from development through deployment.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the backend systems that power our platform.
- Help build services that ingest and process security data.
- Develop and evaluate agents and automation to help security teams investigate threats.
- Write production code and participate in technical design sessions.
- Take ownership of a project from initial development through to deployment.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Expected graduation date in 2027.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or Go.
- A solid understanding of software engineering concepts, including data structures, algorithms, testing, and system design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
