About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at Nucleus Security, you will work alongside experienced engineers to contribute to systems that support integrations, workflows, APIs, and internal tooling. This position is designed for students who intend to begin their careers in software engineering. You will contribute to real code used by production systems while working on scoped projects that prioritize learning, code quality, and maintainability.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to systems that support integrations, workflows, APIs, and internal tooling.
- Use AI to build new features and fix bugs.
- Build out new components for the ReactJS frontend.
- Work with third party REST APIs to build new ETL integrations.
- Write and improve automated tests to increase reliability.
- Debug issues and learn how to diagnose problems in distributed systems.
- Collaborate in code reviews and technical discussions with your team.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program with plans to graduate on or before June 2027.
- Pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Previous internship, co-op, or equivalent experience in software engineering or a related field.
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and receive feedback.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The role is remote.
