Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Internship

About the role#

Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) work directly with customers to understand complex problems and design technical solutions to address them. You will have the opportunity to contribute to high-stakes projects across various industries, applying your technical skills to help organizations derive value from their data. Interns are treated as full-time engineers, receiving significant ownership and freedom over their work.

What you'll do#

• Work in small, autonomous teams with minimal supervision to own the end-to-end execution of projects.
• Discuss system architecture, manage large-scale data, and develop custom web applications.
• Engage directly with customer executives to establish strategy and solve real-world problems.
• Take responsibility for project outcomes that directly impact customer operations.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled as a student at a Polish university or a recent graduate (within the last 12 months).
• Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, C++, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Fluency in English.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Location: New York City, New York.
• Term: Winter 2026.
• Commitment: 6-12 months starting October 2026.
• Modality: On-site.
• Note: Candidates must be available to relocate and cannot be enrolled in university classes during the internship period.
