About the role#
As a Subcontracts Intern, you will assist the Global Procurement and Supply Chain teams with various procurement tasks. You will gain experience in service pricing, project budgets, and supplier management while working under the mentorship of subcontract administrators. This position covers the Spring and Summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support subcontract administrators with negotiations, supplier selection, pricing, forecasts, and performance management.
- Manage service pricing and scope for specific suppliers with mentorship.
- Visit suppliers to evaluate their technical capabilities, capacity, quality systems, and constraints.
- Ensure all necessary compliance documentation remains on file.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand service requirements and product development timelines.
- Coordinate scope changes, Statement of Work amendments, and technical requirement updates.
- Administer Request for Quotations by sending technical packages, collecting bids, and comparing pricing, labor rates, and lead times.
- Issue purchase orders and subcontracts for services.
- Review supplier invoices against contracted rates and confirm work completion with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Identify and implement digital tools or AI to improve team efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Economics, Logistics, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- A GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize your workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
- You must be willing to travel or relocate to Oshkosh for the Summer of 2027.
- This is a paid internship.
