About the role#
Pratt Miller, an Oshkosh company, is hiring a Design Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This full-time, paid position involves working on projects across the motorsports, automotive, defense, and commercial industries. You will work individually or in small teams under the mentorship of a Senior Design Department Mentor to solve engineering problems.
What you'll do#
- Perform vehicle system design and development.
- Execute product design and development tasks.
- Assist with testing and engineering analysis.
- Apply your current skill set to short and long-term projects, including virtual prototype development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Experience with CAD and parametric 3D modeling.
- Technical writing skills using MS Word and Excel.
- Understanding of basic materials, manufacturing processes, and product integrity validation techniques.
- Ability to meet ITAR/EAR requirements, which requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
