    About the role#

    As a Mission Education Content Intern, you will help preserve and share the history of our cooperative. You will work alongside the Mission Education and Creative teams to turn video archives into educational materials. This role involves hands-on work with legacy interviews, including pre-production, filming, and editing. You will also help build a digital library by cataloging footage and audio to create an AI-optimized dataset. Your work will connect our employees to the mission and history of the organization.

    What you'll do#

    • Review and organize historical media archives, including farmer-owner stories and cooperative governance records.
    • Transcribe video and audio content using AI-assisted tools.
    • Assist with recording legacy interviews featuring founders, leaders, and member-owners.
    • Capture footage and create content for our social media channels.
    • Help develop story concepts, interview questions, and content plans.
    • Participate in Mission Core Team meetings and educational events.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a post-secondary program with one year or less until graduation.
    • A degree path in Communications, Video Production, Digital Media, Journalism, Film, or Marketing.
    • Experience with video editing software.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
    • Ability to manage your time, prioritize tasks, and work well both independently and in a team.
    • An interest in organic farming, the cooperative business model, and the history of Organic Valley.
    • A passion for storytelling, documentary production, or oral history projects.

    Location & details#

    • This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027, running from May 31 to August 20.
    • The role is based in Cashton, Wisconsin, with a hybrid work structure. You will be onsite 3 to 5 days per week, with the option to work remotely for the remainder of the time.
    • Furnished housing or a housing stipend is provided.
