As an engineering intern at Orbital Operations, you will contribute to real, open-ended challenges that directly impact our mission. You will be paired with a mentor and work alongside cross-disciplinary teams to advance cryogenic propulsion systems and accelerate orbital logistics. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will apply your technical knowledge to high-impact projects.
What you'll do#
- Solve complex, open-ended engineering problems.
- Contribute to the development of cryogenic propulsion systems.
- Work on projects that accelerate orbital logistics.
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines.
- Take ownership of technical tasks and contribute to team goals.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience gained through previous internships, personal projects, or academic teams.
- Proven ability to manage a complex technical project from conception to execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Long Beach, California.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Duration: Minimum of 10-12 consecutive weeks.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
