About the role#
OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in Houston, Texas, and offers the opportunity to support structural engineering projects through design preparation, code review, and cross-disciplinary coordination.
What you'll do#
- Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and external project team members.
- Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
- Review building codes to ensure correct implementation in design and preparation.
- Attend client meetings and coordinate with various engineering disciplines.
- Produce construction-ready design drawings using Revit.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program (undergraduate or graduate).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic.
- Previous construction or engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
