Structural Engineering Intern

About the role#

OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position in White Plains, NY, offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction process and collaborate with a team of architects and engineers.

What you'll do#

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and outside project team members.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Review building codes to ensure correct implementation in design and preparation.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers.
• Produce structural calculations for construction documents.
• Develop construction-ready design drawings using Revit and coordinate across disciplines to ensure accuracy.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program (undergraduate or graduate).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.
• Previous construction or engineering internship or co-op experience is considered a plus.
