About the role#
OneFourTwo Design Group is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and requires on-site attendance. This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Produce structural calculations for use by the technical drafting staff.
- Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
- Review building codes to ensure correct implementation during the design process.
- Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and external project team members.
- Attend client meetings and coordinate with construction project managers, architects, and other engineers.
- Produce construction-ready design drawings using Revit.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program, either undergraduate or graduate.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- A strong work ethic.
- Previous construction or engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
