About the role#
OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site position in Atlanta, Georgia, provides the opportunity to participate in the construction design process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts.
What you'll do#
- Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and external project team members.
- Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
- Review building codes to ensure correct implementation in design and preparation.
- Attend client meetings and coordinate with construction project managers, architects, and civil and mechanical engineers.
- Produce structural calculations for use in construction documents for permit submittal and construction.
- Create construction-ready design drawings using Revit and coordinate across all disciplines to ensure accuracy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program (Graduate or Undergraduate).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Previous construction or engineering internship or co-op experience is considered a plus.
