About the role#
OmniMax is hiring an Engineering Design Intern to support our product development team. This is a part-time position, requiring 15 to 20 hours per week. It is a paid opportunity designed for students who want hands-on experience in a manufacturing and product development environment.
What you'll do#
- Create and maintain accurate 3D models, assemblies, and detailed part drawings using SolidWorks.
- Develop and update engineering documentation, such as specifications and revision records.
- Assist with product development, design improvements, and engineering change initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional team members on new product and enhancement projects.
- Ensure all design files are organized and meet company standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, specifically with 3D modeling and technical drawing creation.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Previous coursework or project experience in product design or manufacturing is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site at our locations in Peachtree Corners, GA, Norcross, GA, or Dallas, TX.
- The position is part-time and offers rolling availability.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
