About the role#

The Culinary J1 Internship at Omni Mount Washington Resort involves preparing and storing food items according to established specifications. You will work within the resort's food and beverage areas, operating various kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and food slicing machines while maintaining health and safety standards.

What you'll do#

• Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines.
• Ensure your assigned station is fully prepared 15 minutes prior to service.
• Demonstrate basic knife skills during food preparation.
• Learn all menu items produced by your assigned station.
• Manage the production of orders and the refrigeration and serving of cold food.

What you'll need#

• Knowledge of a wide range of cooking techniques.
• Strong organization and computer skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in an environment with exposure to humidity, extreme temperatures, and cleaning chemicals.
