About the role#
OMERS Private Equity is seeking a student to join the team as a Private Equity Analyst for a 4-month summer term in 2027. This is a paid, full-time position based in Toronto. You will work directly with our investment team to support the evaluation of new opportunities and the management of existing portfolio companies.
What you'll do#
- Research, analyze, and evaluate new investment opportunities using industry research and financial statement analysis.
- Build financial models to show a company's historical and projected financial results.
- Prepare commercial and operational due diligence.
- Evaluate the operating and financial performance of existing portfolio companies.
- Support capital structure management, including tax planning, debt refinancing, and capital budgeting.
- Prepare internal investment presentations and conduct financial reporting to assist with decision-making.
What you'll need#
- You are currently working toward an undergraduate degree, preferably in Business or Finance.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial modeling skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior student work experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or equity research is considered an asset.

- Compensation: The salary range for this position is $66,300.00 to $87,750.00 per year, prorated based on the contract term. You may also be eligible for an annual Incentive Award and participation in group benefits and retirement plans.
