About the role#
OMERS is seeking two Student Analysts for a 12-month contract running from May 2027 to April 2028. This role sits within the Global Credit team, which manages approximately $42 billion in assets. You will support investment due diligence and monitor portfolio activity across private corporate credit, infrastructure credit, leveraged finance, and capital securities. While you will be assigned to a specific team, you will have opportunities to work across different credit verticals to gain diverse experience.
What you'll do#
- Assess private corporate credit, infrastructure credit, leveraged finance, and capital securities investment opportunities.
- Produce bottom-up credit and relative value analyses, including financial modelling, to support investment decisions.
- Conduct in-depth due diligence and prepare investment committee memos.
- Perform portfolio monitoring activities using Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
- Manage the pipeline database to support portfolio management discussions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Strong grasp of finance concepts, including accounting, valuations, discounted cash flow analysis, capital structure, and credit analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with databases and large datasets, such as Python or SQL.
- A mandatory work sample analyzing assets or companies with investment recommendations.

- Compensation: $66,300 to $87,750 per year, prorated based on the contract term, with eligibility for incentive awards and group benefits.
