About the role#
Olsson is seeking an engineering student for a Summer 2027 internship within the Water/Wastewater team. This position offers hands-on experience in planning, design, and construction phase services. You will work alongside engineers on projects involving water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution, as well as wastewater collection and treatment systems. Typical project tasks include work on sanitary sewer piping, pump stations, water wells, and storage tanks.
What you'll do#
- Provide project design using CAD and modeling software.
- Perform technical analysis and prepare construction documents.
- Provide construction services and conduct research.
- Write technical reports.
- Collaborate with team members on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in civil, environmental, or a related engineering field.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Kearney, Lincoln, or Omaha, Nebraska.
