About the role#
NVR, Inc. offers a 12-week paid internship for students interested in the homebuilding industry. This role provides a foundation for a career in construction management by exposing you to various segments of the business. The position is full-time and based on-site in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Shadow and assist an experienced Project Manager in the field.
- Work directly with on-site subcontractors.
- Interact with customers throughout the homebuilding process.
- Learn about the new home sales life cycle by working with the sales and marketing teams.
- Gain exposure to the home loan financing process.
- Learn how the company forecasts and prepares for future building activity.
- Tour manufacturing operations and architectural design offices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college degree program, preferably with a major in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers and business partners.
- Leadership skills and a driven mindset.
- A current driver’s license.

- Location: Fredericksburg, VA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
