About the role#
The Packaging Engineering Co-op position is a full-time, on-site role based in Anoka, Minnesota. This program runs during the summer of 2027. You will work within a cross-functional environment to support product launches and continuous improvement initiatives while gaining exposure to leadership and professional networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Build relationships with functional partners to support new product launches.
- Manage and conduct packaging testing, trials, and technical analyses.
- Lead cross-functional collaborations to develop packaging solutions that balance cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Create documentation including test reports, cost analyses, and 2D/3D CAD concepts.
- Build knowledge of various packaging materials and their specific applications.
- Use engineering principles and statistics to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing, with an expected graduation date between May 2028 and June 2029.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Current legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Ability to communicate effectively and manage time and tasks efficiently.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: Experience in packaging design or engineering for industrial products, knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, and familiarity with ASTM or ISTA test standards.
