    About the role#

    The Mechanical Engineering Co-Op program is a structured, rotational learning experience. You will work across departments including Product Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Labs and Compliance. This program connects your academic studies to practical workplace projects, covering the full engineering lifecycle from initial development through testing and final production.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform engineering calculations to analyze product designs and ensure specification accuracy.
    • Use 2D and 3D modeling software to create and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, assembly prints, and test reports.
    • Fabricate and evaluate product concepts using prototyping equipment such as 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutters.
    • Assist with the resolution of technical issues related to product design, system design, and compliance.
    • Manage routing and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes for products manufactured on-site.
    • Support process improvements, including tooling design, time studies, and the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
    • Develop test plans, design test fixturing, and conduct validation testing.
    • Participate in design review meetings and engage with the Quality department to update technical information on drawings and inspection gauges.
    • Collaborate with teams during site visits and interact with end-user customers.
    • Utilize analytical tools including Finite Element Analysis (ABAQUS) and Matlab.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at an accredited college or university.
    • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering, with a mechanical or mechanical engineering technology focus preferred.
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • Ability to complete a full-time, 8-month co-op assignment.
    • Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future.
    • Reliable personal transportation to and from the work site.
