About the role#
Nuovo Artistic Photography is seeking an IT Security Intern to support our internal security initiatives. This project-based role offers the opportunity to contribute to security planning and execution while working alongside IT leadership. You will help protect our head office, remote employees, and retail studios by implementing security improvements across our business platforms.
What you'll do#
- Lead the company-wide migration to 1Password, including employee onboarding and driving adoption.
- Assist with the implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA) and the retirement of legacy password storage methods.
- Conduct security reviews of our SaaS environment, specifically focusing on Google Workspace, and present recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and assess Shadow IT by documenting applications in use and evaluating security risks.
- Help implement approved security improvements across key business platforms.
- Support Level 1 IT operations, including hardware, software, and user account requests for office, remote, and retail staff.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop security documentation, processes, and best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current student in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Business Administration who is returning to school after the internship.
- Genuine interest in information security, demonstrated through coursework, certifications, or personal projects.
- Working understanding of everyday hardware and software, with comfort using macOS, Windows, and iOS.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to guide colleagues through security changes.
- Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- English proficiency is required; French language skills are considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace administration or 1Password is a plus.
