About the role#
Nuovo Artistic Photography is seeking a Construction Intern to support the Construction Department with operational, administrative, and coordination tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in project management, procurement, scheduling, and cost tracking. You will work closely with the Construction Project Manager to build systems, improve processes, and collaborate with internal teams on studio construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Support subcontractor bidding by tracking responses, following up with vendors, and assisting with bid comparisons.
- Assist with procurement activities and coordinate outstanding vendor action items.
- Help develop and maintain standard scopes of work and finish specifications.
- Build and organize a historical construction cost database using past project information.
- Create and maintain internal tracking tools, including schedules, budgets, and action logs.
- Coordinate with IT, R&D, Marketing, and Design teams to help maintain project schedules and cross-functional timelines.
- Monitor project progress against schedule and budget targets.
- Take meeting minutes and support project documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Comfort creating and maintaining spreadsheets, trackers, and project documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to follow up with vendors and internal stakeholders.
